LOL Raleigh is bringing together some of the biggest names in comedy! This one-night event will bring together five comedy powerhouses for an unforgettable night of laughter.
ABOUT THE LINEUP:
DERAY DAVIS is a Chicago-born comedian, actor and host known for his sharp wit and commanding on-screen presence. His film credits include “21 Jump Street,” “Semi-Pro,” “Old Dogs” and “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” and he is widely recognized for his role as Jermel on FOX’s “Empire.” On the comedy side, Davis built a loyal following with his Showtime special “Power Play” and Netflix special “How to Act Black,” along with recurring appearances on “Wild ’N Out” and “Hip-Hop Squares.” He has also voiced characters on “The Boondocks” and “Black Dynamite,” and hosted MTV2’s “Joking Off.” A seasoned stand-up, Davis continues to tour globally, bringing his unfiltered perspective to sold-out audiences. LAVELL CRAWFORD, a critically acclaimed comedian and actor, is known for his stand-up comedy as well as his notable acting career. He gained fame for his role as Huell Babineaux in the series "Breaking Bad" and its spin-off "Better Call Saul." Crawford has appeared in films like "The Ridiculous 6," "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates," "American Ultra," and "On the Count of Three." He has released five stand-up specials, including the highly praised "The Comedy Vaccine," which earned him a Grammy® nomination for Best Comedy Album. EARTHQUAKE, a comedian, actor, and voice artist, has garnered a strong fan base through stand-up comedy and is known for his memorable performances on BET's “Comic View” and HBO's “Def Comedy Jam.” In 2021, he released his Netflix comedy special “Chappelle's Home Team: Earthquake Legendary,” which received rave reviews and was named 'Comedy Special of the Year' by the New York Times. DON "DC" CURRY gained stardom in the '90s at San Francisco's comedy clubs with his bold and outspoken style. He took his act nationwide, becoming well-known for his portrayal of Uncle Elroy Jones in the popular films "Next Friday" and "Friday After Next." Curry has been a frequent guest and former host on BET's "Comic View" and has appeared on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam." In addition to his comedy career, he has had regular roles on TV shows like "Grace Under Fire" and "The Steve Harvey Show," and lent his voice to the animated hit "The Boondocks." ADELE GIVENS is a comedian and actress widely known as the "Queen of Comedy." She first gained national recognition after winning the Crown Royal Comedy competition in Chicago in 1990 and has since become one of comedy's most recognizable performers. Her stand-up credits include "Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam," "All Stars of Def Comedy Jam," "Showtime at the Apollo," "The Oprah Winfrey Show," HBO's "Half-Hour Comedy Hour" and "Comedy Central Presents." Givens has also built an impressive acting career with appearances on "Martin," "Moesha," "The Parkers," "The Steve Harvey Show," "The Tracey Ullman Show" and "The Hughleys." She starred as Tricks in "The Players Club" and appeared as I'Holla Helen in "Beauty Shop." In addition to tv and film, Givens hosted "The Adele Givens Morning Show" on Chicago's WGCI-FM and headlined the acclaimed "Queens of Comedy" tour.
