Event Details
Created by North Carolina choreographer, Caroline Calouche, Clara’s Trip is a contemporary twist on a holiday classic.
Clara is now a young adult and dancing her heart away at Mr. and Mrs. Flowers holiday party. She loves to dance but is clumsy. Her two left feet get the best of her. She trips and is whisked off to the emergency room to find out she has a sprained ankle. That night Clara dreams that her foot is healed and her friends’ get-well gifts come to life.Gingerbreads, fish, monkeys, candy canes, bracelets and a ballerina ornament are not to miss! Clara’s Trip includes enchanting ensemble snow and flower scenes with aerial silks and athletic dancing. There is not a Rat King rather a comical warped struggle with stilt dancing doctors in Clara’s warped dream.
